Bargaining Update from Dallas

On the second day of mediation in Dallas, our bargaining team met with the mediator for most of the morning. We discussed our goals and expectations in detail to make sure that he fully grasps our concerns. We are encouraged by the mediator's questions and attention to the details. In the afternoon, the mediator talked first with company representatives and then we all gathered for a final discussion.

Although we brought a complete package of proposals to Envoy back in April, the company came with no proposals or responses, leading to the cancellation of our third day of mediation. This lack of respect for the bargaining process and Envoy's dedicated employees is simply unacceptable. The mediator made it clear that he expects both parties to come to future meetings fully prepared and ready to make progress and negotiate.

We ended the meeting with a plan to reconvene in Pittsburgh June 18-20.

During our first round of talks on Monday, we were pleased to find out that U.S. Senators  Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Edward Markey (D-Mass.), Cory Booker (D-N.J.), and Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.), sent a letter to American Airlines CEO Doug Parker urging the company to provide increased wages and improved benefits for Envoy Passenger Service Agents. Our team thanks the senators for supporting an end to poverty wages at Envoy!

You can show your support by continuing  to wear your pins and green stickers every day to let management at your station know that you are standing with your coworkers for a fair contract.
