CWA Bargaining Update Envoy Air - July 31, 2016

On July 27th and 28th your bargaining committee met with the Envoy bargaining committee. The meeting started with a discussion of the stations that are closing as a result of the work moving back to mainline: PDX, CMH, and BDL. Other stations where work will be reduced are SMF, CLE, RDU and IAH. The Company presented a proposal on Reduction in Force. CWA presented proposals on Interim Reduction in Force, and Union Security. There were several passes on proposals for Reduction in Force and for an Interim Agreement on Reduction in Force. We discussed at length the grievance procedure and system board proposals so that we can make progress on those articles in the next sessions. The Company and the Union signed an Agreement on Purpose of Agreement and are very close on an Interim Reduction in Force Agreement which would be in place until we reach a ratified contract. We should be able to implement a Reduction in Force Interim Agreement by mid August. More details on that article will follow. The implementation on the Interim Grievance Procedure is delayed until the beginning of August as we are still working on the grievance form. More details will follow as soon as we have the form. Next Bargaining dates are August 30th and 31st.
