During a virtual Congressional Roundtable discussion on October 7, CWA Local 3645 President Donielle Prophete (CLT) and CWA Local 3146 President James McKnight (MIA) joined members of other airport workers’ unions to demand baseline federal wage and benefit standards be mandated for any airport that receives federal funding.
The Federal government has implemented two COVID-19 vaccine mandates for businesses. American Airlines will follow the federal mandate, which requires employees of American mainline, Piedmont, and Envoy to be vaccinated.

The duties of Council members are to: •Attend meeting on Feb. 23 & 24 in Dallas to review bargaining survey results and elect the bargaining team that will meet with the company to negotiate the contract. •Work with the bargaining team to make sure agents stay informed and involved throughout the bargaining process. •Help build mobilizing/organizing committees at the stations they cover. •Participate in conferences calls with the bargaining team and regional meetings to keep their stations up to date about negotiations.
We won! The results are in -- by a vote of 1241 to 144, Envoy agents voted today for representation with CWA. Envoy agents have spoken loud and clear: "We're excited and ready for the next chapter to begin - this is our opportunity to have our voice heard," said MIA agent Ingrid Paredes, who worked hard to turn out the yes vote at her station and others.
Takisha Washington, from Dallas-Fort Worth, said, agents “need a union to create fairness, a safer work environment, job security and better wages.”

35 Envoy agents from stations around the country came to Washington DC Wednesday to visit 18 members of Congress. The message your co-workers delivered was simple: we want an election without delay. Our jobs are being outsourced and other workgroups have been awarded performance bonuses, meanwhile we have no voice and have to accept what we get.

On Monday, May 11, 2015, we submitted CWA authorization cards to the National Mediation Board (NMB). The NMB is the government agency that runs union elections in the airline industry. After they verify that a majority of agents signed cards, they’ll schedule an election. Stay tuned for more details in weeks to come.
